Enscale inside Shopify admin
Enscale panels that appear on your Shopify customer, product and order pages — so you don't have to switch apps to see what's happened.
Enscale adds panels to Shopify pages you're already looking at. The point is to stop you switching apps to answer a question you have right now, while you're mid-task.
They install automatically. There's nothing to configure.
| Where you are | What Enscale shows you |
|---|---|
| A customer's page | Their conversations and whether they've opted into WhatsApp |
| A product's page | That product's reviews |
| An order's page | Which automations ran for it, and whether the messages arrived |
| A customer's account (customer-facing) | Their loyalty points balance |
On a customer page
You're looking at an order problem and you want to know: has this person already contacted us about it?
Previously that meant opening Enscale and searching. Now it's in the sidebar — their recent conversations, which channel they used, and their WhatsApp consent status.
The consent status is worth a glance before you decide to message someone about their order.
On a product page
Shows that product's reviews.
Useful in two situations: a product's conversion drops and you want to know whether recent reviews explain it, and checking that imported reviews landed on the right product.
See Reviews.
On an order page — the useful one
This is the extension worth knowing about.
A customer says "I never got a shipping notification." Instead of digging through workflow logs, open the flow timeline on that order. It answers three questions at once:
- Did the automation fire for this order?
- Did the message actually send?
- If not, why — no consent, closed 24-hour window, template problem?
This turns "our automation is broken" into a ten-second check. Most of the time it isn't broken — the customer hadn't opted in.
On the customer's own account page
Unlike the other three, this one your customers see.
It appears on their Shopify account profile, showing their points balance and what they can redeem. Because it lives inside Shopify's own customer accounts, there's no separate portal and no extra login — they see their points where they already check their orders.
Only appears if you've turned on Loyalty.
The storefront widgets are separate
The chat bubble and review widgets on your storefront come from a theme app extension, which is a different thing — and one you do have to switch on yourself, in your theme editor.
See Webchat widget.
